The Deep Dive Retreat

You know there’s a decision at hand— a question you’re facing that’s not able to be answered through rational means. A stuck place that isn’t moving despite your best efforts. A seed of an idea that needs incubation space rather than forced action. These moments require a soul response.

Oct 11-13, 2024.

At Una Vida in Niwot, Colorado

This retreat is for you if:

  • There’s a question or situation that you’ve been chewing and chewing on but rather than finding answers, you feel stuck

  • You know that this situation requires a soul response but you don’t know how to tune in and hear what it is

  • This situation has begun to feel tight and constricted and you’re ready to shift into more spaciousness around it

  • You have a seed of an idea that needs incubation, time, space, and care to start to germinate

  • You’re open to exploring the symbolic powers of dreamwork and myth in order to see your life, and this situation specifically, differently

I warmly invite you to join me for a weekend retreat in Niwot, Colorado to make space to listen to Soul. Through this intimate and transformative weekend we will use Qoya Inspired Movement, depth psychology, and dreamwork to plant seeds of intention for what we are wanting in our lives, to listen to the wisdom of the body, and have space for Soul knowing to come through.

We are gathering as the dark days are setting in, the movement from extraverted summer to introverted winter are calling us. This is a time to slow down and listen to the quiet, small voice within that only speaks when we create enough space to listen.

You will be responsible for your meals for the duration of the retreat. Light snacks will be provided. There are several nice restaurants, coffee shops, and a small local grocery store in the same complex as the movement studio where we will be gathering. If you need lodging for the duration of the retreat, Una Vida is walking distance to the Niwot Inn. There are also Air BnBs and other hotels in the area, or you can also reach out to me to discuss possible local housing options.

Testimonials

“This was the first workshop I attended with Kathryn Holt (Embodied Depth Psychology in July 2023). I found the workshop to be refreshingly well done and powerful. She holds a solid space for all participants, no matter the content or capacity. She provides a safe and supportive container to move through deep emotions while connecting those processes with deep wisdom and insight from a depth psychology perspective. I left feeling energized, well-processed and full-hearted, and I sensed others did as well. I would definitely do another one of Kathryn’s workshops– Five stars!”- Lesley Glenner

“I loved my first workshop with Kathryn. My first feeling was how warm the atmosphere felt. The space was held beautifully for all of us to move through our experiences. Kathryn has a deep knowledge of depth psychology. She made all the information super digestible. I loved combining movement alongside our process. I would absolutely love to work with her again.” - Mandy

What you will receive:

  • Embodied movement classes that support you in getting out of your head and into your body so that you can slow down and make space for this incubation process to occur

  • Teachings on depth psychology as a way of making and finding meaning in our experiences and create the quiet needed to hear how your soul is responding to this situation

  • A new understanding of dreamwork and practices for interpreting your dreams so that you can understand the soul whispers they’re offering you

  • Exploration of Echidna and Inanna as feminine archetypal figures that can guide us on our life’s paths

FAQ

What is Qoya Inspired Movement?
Qoya Inspired Movement  is a mindful movement practice that blends elements of dance, yoga and sensual movement focused on sensing the body rather than any kind of performance. No previous dance experience is required; this workshop is open to women in all embodied expressions of this gender. Qoya is all about how it feels and not at all about how it looks, so you don’t need to consider yourself coordinated at all in order to take part.

What is Depth Psychology?
Depth psychology is a field of psychology that centers the soul into our psychological lives. It honors unconscious layers of experience including instinct, archetypes, and the spiritual aspects of the self and larger world.

What should I bring to the retreat?
Comfortable clothing you can move in, something you would wear to yoga or other movement classes.
Water, a journal and pen
Yoga mats, blankets, and props will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer.
As noted above, you are responsible for your meals and lodgings during the retreat.

Where is the retreat?
