Descent and Rebirth: Myth of Inanna and Psychological Transformation (March 2022)
Friday, March 17th 2022 12-1:30 MST
During times of radical change, many of us are radically changing and it's not always pretty. My resilience has never been so low after mothering during a pandemic. Yet what has been most relieving out of everything I've tried to nourish myself with is my background in archetypal psychology and working with the myths that animate this initiatory period.
I'm sharing this experience to begin extending my doctoral work into the world as well as nurturing my own relationship to the very potent, ancient myth of Inanna. Inanna is a feminine archetype who dies and is reborn. Her initiation is not a transform-into-a-beautiful-butterfly kind of thing... the initiation she invites is brutal, limit-testing, and the result is more real, but not necessarily tidy.
